Frogs. Or "Fwoggie" as my 2 year old son says.

The larger frog of the two has found a home in our son's bathtub. He's often placed on a plastic boat, floating along a mountain of bubbles. He seems to always be smiling.

For sometime I thought the smaller frog was alone and lost, collecting dust in a corner, behind the couch. I recently found him instead, inside the toybox. It's a party in there so, I imagine his life on land has been stimulating. He too, seems to always have a perma-grin.

I feel bad about these two being separated but, neither seem to mind. In fact, I wonder when they want to return to their rightful owner?

Dear Ms. Koco, I am so ashamed. Tonight, when you were referring to those silent multitudes who dissapointed you -- that was me. And I realize now that no number of revolting chocolates could appease you. I neglected to follow-through on my responsibility to inform you of the activites of the dong chim pen, but that is only because something terrible happend to it and I didn't want to tell you at first. I used it for several weeks at my office job, to sign official documents (snickering to myself all the while and thinking that I would just do this until a really good idea occurred to me), but my complacency was sorely misplaced. As I was delighting myself with my own ineffectual subversion, I was not aware that the deliate paint on the pen was slowly rubbing away, and that it probably would have been a better idea to simply marvel at the pen, rather than use it. As the picture faded, I began to feel a sense of loss and also a responsibility to try to preserve, at least, the history of the pen, and to share that initial wonder that I felt the night that you gave it to me. But instead I alienated several coworkers, with my demonstration of that crude pointing gesture. Apparently, all talk of poo during normal business hours is incredibly inappropriate. And gesturing of any sort makes people really nervous. So now the image is almost completely rubbed off and I think that the only thing I can do is to try to paint it back on... I remember that there was a snotty nose, two fingers and a big turd. Those are the essentials. Please forgive me. Jenny

I was so excited about using these worry dolls, but I can't remember where I put them. I'm actually not too worried these days. My house is renovated, no roof caving in. I'm almost making a living and I don't have a boyfriend (always a headache) As an aside, I started working with Sheila Zagar, Julia's sister in law. Small world.

Update:
I recently caught up with the new owner of this item.

This frog lives in the upper left-hand pocket of a coat. It's a green corduroy army coat with two missing buttons on the shoulders. There are also a couple of crossword puzzles in this pocket that live there with the frog. I asked if he intended on taking the frog out of the pocket any time soon, and he said, "No. when I wash the coat I'll take it out, but I'll put it back."

As it turns out, this is common for this dude. He also keeps bills (equivalent to about one US dollar) from countries he's visited in the upper right-hand pocket of his North Face jacket. His logic here is that if he had to leave on extremely short notice to one of these places he'd have enough money in his pocket to make a phone call and get a cup of coffee. So, I wondered what use the glow in the dark frog was to always have in his pocket. To this he replied, "You never know."
